Joe, sorry I didn't get
this done sooner. I spent the week in North Dakota and then Reno,
Nevada...got home this morning at 0430.
On Cornerstone's performance: I'm a US Marine officer and as my wife can
attest, pretty sparing on praise and compliments. I genuinely believe that
when you take on a job which you are getting paid for you do it to the best
of your ability. Unfortunately finding people who apply that same attitude
is becoming harder to find these days. I contacted Joe with Cornerstone
about a door moving project I wanted to get done in my home. Joe promptly
returned my call and coordinated a time to meet and look at my project. Joe
was courteous, professional, and thorough. Within 24 hours I received a
written itemized proposal for my project. The price was right in line with
what I thought it would be. Joe and I worked out a start date, and he talked
me through how long he thought it would take to complete. Joe and his
assistant were at my home at the agreed upon time and day (to be honest, and
much to my embarrassment he had to wait on me, because I was running late
getting home from the gym). Joe quickly set about getting the project
started. Because I work from home I had the opportunity to visit with Joe
intermittently throughout the day. Joe is a very genuine, courteous, and
respectful man; and someone that I would have no problem with allowing in my
home unsupervised again. As a Navy man Joe put up with a Marine very well.
The attention to detail that they took on my small project was impressive.
I'm thoroughly pleased with the outcome. As with most remodel work we ran
into an issue when we opened up the wall to install the door I planned.
There was a waterline in the wall that needed to be moved in order to get
the door in. This is where I saw Joe's true colors. Joe called me down from
my office and showed me the problem. He had a couple of ideas as far as
solutions. When we discussed these options he made sure I understood the
associated costs and made me aware of several cost saving options.
Bottom-line Joe took care of me and got the water line taken care of, and it
didn't add to the cost of my project by very much at all. I can't give any
higher endorsement of Cornerstone other than to say I trust them with my
family's home. They did an outstanding job, and to quote Joe, did the job
"like it was [his] own home". When I do my kitchen remodel I'll be calling
Cornerstone....
