It is our pleasure to recommend Joe and Cornerstone Builders for any building or remodeling job (big or small).  We had the unfortunate experience a flood inside our home that resulted in water six inches deep throughout the entire downstairs (yes, we were not home).  As you can imagine, the resulting damage was extensive and impacted every room.  We hired Joe to make our home a home once again. 

When something like this happens, those of us that are not the most inept at home improvement are vulnerable to getting taken advantage of.  This is where Joe was a true guardian angel!  We didn’t know where to begin.  Joe was always educating us on the cost effectiveness of our ideas (even if it meant less money for him), giving us ideas to consider, speaking up when he felt like we would regret our decision, and suggesting lower cost alternatives when the situation would call for it.  He also has a great eye for design!!

Joe’s communication skills are superb.  Throughout the entire process, he was extremely patient and took the time to explain things in laymen’s terms.  We always had a schedule of when things were getting done and by whom.  People always showed up when he said they would and would clean up afterwards.

If you have ever built or remodeled your home, you will have times when something unexpected happens that would require a deviation from your plans.  However, anytime Joe would come to us and say “We have a problem” we would never get anxious because he always had 1-2 alternative and creative solutions which would remedy the problem as though it never existed.

Ethically, you can’t beat Joe!  There wasn’t a single time when we felt uncomfortable or had any issues.  By the end of the job, we felt like we had the opportunity to really get to know Joe and the people that work for him.  We can honestly say that they are all exceptional people.

Overall, we cannot begin to tell you how happy we are with the job he did!!  Not only did he fix the damage, he made our home into a far more beautiful home than we had before.  Joe and the people that work for him are unquestionably extraordinary craftsmen.  We have two totally new bathrooms, a completely new kitchen, an entirely new utility and mud room, new floors throughout, far more functional closets and a great new friend.
